The Beauty and Aesthetic Society of Nagaland (BASN) has officially announced the highly anticipated Miss Universe Nagaland 2025 pageant, set to take place on June 11th in Kohima. This landmark announcement was made during a press conference held by BASN on May 15th, marking a significant step forward for beauty pageants in the state.
In a historic first for Nagaland, this year will witness a full-fledged, state-level pageant to select its representative for the prestigious Miss Universe India competition. Previously, Nagaland’s delegates were chosen through direct auditions. This new, structured approach, as stated by BASN President Mele Pucho, is designed to ensure that “we send the best possible representatives to compete on the national stage.”
The winner of the Miss Universe Nagaland 2025 title will proudly represent the state at the Miss Universe India pageant. The dates for the national competition will be announced following the culmination of all state-level contests across the country.
Adding a touch of glamour and inspiration to the upcoming event, none other than Miss Universe India 2024, Rhea Singha, will grace the state finals in Kohima as a distinguished guest judge. The remaining esteemed members of the judging panel will be revealed in due course, promising a discerning and experienced evaluation of the contestants.
Aspiring participants still have an opportunity to showcase their beauty and talent. Auditions are scheduled for Saturday, May 17th at Westside, Ara Mile, Dimapur. While the initial online registration period closed on May 12th, BASN has announced that on-spot registration will be available at the audition venue on Saturday. This provides a final chance for eligible young women to embark on their journey towards the Miss Universe India crown.
Organizers anticipate a strong pool of 15 to 30 talented contestants who will undergo comprehensive grooming and training sessions in preparation for the grand finale in Kohima. This dedicated preparation will ensure that Nagaland’s representative is well-equipped for the national competition.
The successful organization of Miss Universe Nagaland 2025 is being supported by key partners including the Tourism Department of Nagaland, TaFMA (as the official venue partner), and Westside, Dimapur. As the official franchise holder for Miss Universe India, the Glamanand Group is guiding BASN in conducting the pageant in strict adherence to their official guidelines and standards.
