Jotsoma, Nagaland – Kohima Science College (Autonomous), Jotsoma (KSCJ), has officially launched its groundbreaking ‘KSCJ App’ on March 16th, marking a significant leap towards digital innovation in Nagaland’s higher education sector. The special programme for the launch was graced by the esteemed Chancellor of Nagaland University, Dr. Samudra Gupta Kashyap.
First of Its Kind in Nagaland: The ‘KSCJ App’
Developed by Rishav Sethi, a proud alumnus and accomplished software engineer, the ‘KSCJ App’ is specifically designed to enhance the operational efficiency of the institution. Its features aim to streamline crucial processes such as information dissemination, seamless event management, and efficient report generation. This makes it the first customized mobile application for a higher education institution within Nagaland.
Addressing the attendees, Dr. Kashyap emphasized the historical connections between the Naga and Assamese communities and passionately spoke about the vast potential residing within the region’s indigenous youth. He encouraged both faculty members and students to actively embrace the evolving landscape of higher education, particularly in light of the ongoing implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in Nagaland. Furthermore, Dr. Kashyap urged the academic community to explore local employment opportunities and contribute actively to the national visions of ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) and ‘Viksit North-East’ (Developed North-East).

The launch programme was skilfully chaired by Dr. Lilongchem Thyug, the coordinator of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).
